Joe De Gregorio – Italian Jazz with an International Voice

Pianist, composer, and vocalist Joe De Gregorio began leading his own jazz trio in his hometown of Rome in 2004. The project quickly gained recognition, earning finalist status at the Jazz Chicco Bettinardi Award in Piacenza and winning First Prize at the Luca Flores Jazz Piano Competition in Florence (2009).

A winner of the Monte Carlo International Jazz Soloist Competition (2015), De Gregorio has since toured extensively with his trio across Europe, North Africa, and the United States, performing regularly on the jazz scenes of New York and Paris.

The Joe De Gregorio Italian Trio blends the tradition of Italian jazz with a strong international perspective, placing live interaction and improvisation at the core of the music. The trio’s sound is defined by:
