For Blues’ Sake – A Jazz Piano Trio Tribute

Joe De Gregorio recorded For Blues’ Sake, a double concept album, at the iconic Van Gelder Studio. The project features special guests Ron Carter on bass and Peter Erskine on drums, two of the most influential figures in jazz history.

With this project, Joe De Gregorio pays tribute to the blues as the foundation of jazz language.:

  • Volume I presents original jazz études exploring 13 variations on the blues form, reflecting both artistic and educational depth.
  • Volume II offers a selection of jazz standards rooted in the blues tradition.
