“Crooner’s Journey” is a jazz project led by visionary pianist and vocalist Joe De Gregorio, conceived as a tribute to the international singer-songwriter tradition through the language of jazz.
Born in Rome and based in France-USA, De Gregorio has developed a unique artistic voice shaped by years of activity across Europe, North Africa, and the United States. With Crooner’s Journey, he reimagines iconic songs from Italian, French, Brazilian, Spanish, and American repertoires, arranging them in an intimate and contemporary jazz style.
The project was recently recorded in Paris with leading musicians from the French jazz scene and is designed primarily for the stage. Performed in five languages, Crooner’s Journey blends piano, voice, and improvisation into a refined yet accessible concert format, perfectly suited for jazz clubs and festivals.
Joe De Gregorio is a two-time international jazz competition winner and has performed at major venues and festivals including Sunside Jazz Club (Paris), Parco della Musica (Rome), Detroit Jazz Festival, Saint Peter’s Jazz Vespers (New York), among others. His career reflects a deep commitment to live performance, interaction, and cultural dialogue.
Crooner’s Journey presents jazz as a living bridge between cultures, where melody, storytelling, and improvisation meet to create a shared musical language beyond borders.
